Safe Handling of Medication Training Courses

This course is designed for health and social care staff who vulnerable individuals rely upon to administer and handle their medication. Vulnerable people could include older people, people with reduced mental capacity, reduced mobility, with a sensory impairment or anyone that needs help to take their medication.

Want to ensure your staff are properly trained to store, handle and administer medication? We offer training from our centre in Carlisle, Cumbria or at your workplace. Evening and weekend training can also be organised on request. Fill out our contact form to arrange your staff’s safe handling of medication training or give us a call on 01228 538016 to book now.

Incorrectly administering medicine can result in ill health of patients, and in many instances, death. So, proper training is vital to fulfil responsibility to your patients and avoid prosecution.

As part of the Health and Social Care Act 2008, it’s stipulated that arrangements should be made for the recording, handling, safe keeping, safe administration and disposal of medicines used in the personal care of clients. Our course is designed specifically to give relevant staff further knowledge to ensure they safely handle medications within the workplace.
