Pressure Ulcer Prevention Training Courses

This course is designed for health and social care staff who look after the elderly in various care settings who are a particularly vulnerable group, often suffering with age associated illnesses and poor mobility. All of which vastly increase their risk of developing pressure ulcers.

Pressure ulcers are not just a modern day problem and historically were referred to as bed sores and pressure sores.

There are more than half a million new pressure ulcers in the UK in any one year. This is a massive level of harm for our service users and one that is largely avoidable. As health and social care providers we have a duty of care to prevent and reduce harm to others.

Want to ensure your staff are properly trained to look out for the signs of pressure ulcers developing. We offer training from our centre in Carlisle, Cumbria or at your workplace. Evening and weekend training can also be organised on request. Fill out our contact form to arrange your staff’s pressure ulcer prevention training or give us a call on 01228 538016 to book now.
